**Event being held with the pumpkin weigh off and adult pumpkin carving/decorating contests**
All scarecrows will be displayed outside and could be subjected to wind and rain so construction should be durable and all ornamentation should be securely attached. Each scarecrow should have a horizontal support made of wood for securing to a post for display. A Post will be provided but it is the responsibility of the artist to attach the scarecrow using wire or rope. Scarecrows must be picked up between 4pm – 5pm. Scarecrows remaining after 5pm become the property of Anoka Halloween inc.
Scarecrows must be within 4 and 8 feet tall and a maximum circumference of 8 feet. The entire structure is considered the dimension of the scarecrow, not the dimension of the actual scarecrow within the exhibit. An exhibit may include no more than 4 figures.
Fully assembled scarecrows are to be delivered to Anoka city hall between 9-10:30am the day of the event.
All entries are subject to limitations of space availability as well as the standards of a display as established by Anoka Halloween inc. Anoka Halloween reserves the right to deny entry privileges of displays considered to be offensive. Absolutely no political submissions. Please keep entries family friendly.
Anoka Halloween and the city of Anoka will not be held responsible for any injuries or damages associated with the scarecrow contest.
It is understood that Anoka Halloween inc may use photographs of, stories about and the actual scarecrow entries themselves as well as information contained on the entry form for publicity and promotion.
Scarecrows will be judged on creativity and three winners will be selected. All selections are final. Judging will take place the day of the event.
