2024 Grande Day Parade Application

NO EXCEPTIONS / ACCEPTANCE DENIALS WILL BE EMAILED NO LATER THAN OCTOBER 1. ANY APPLICANTS NOT ACCEPTED IN THE PARADE WILL RECEIVE A FULL REFUND BY OCTOBER 15.

BELOW ARE THE FOLLOWING PARADE PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES
• For the safety of our spectators please do not throw candy. Instead distribute near the curb to reduce the risk of children running into the street. Failure to do so may result in being removed from the parade.
• Creativity required.
• NO blood, gore or violent Halloween themes allowed. This is a kid friendly parade.
• NO political groups or political campaigning allowed in or on parade route.
• Traditional trucks or cars will not qualify as a parade entry.
• NO RV’s, Buses or Enclosed trailers.
• Walking groups limited to 25 people. Reminder this is a fast paced parade and over a mile long.
• Anoka Halloween does not provide vehicles or trailers.
• Float length no more than 30’ long and 13’5” tall. Combined total for pull vehicle and float no more than 55’ long.
• NO animal pickup provided. Your party is responsible to clean-up after your animals.
• Alcohol & Cannabis are prohibited in all parade areas.
• Proof of Insurance required. Clear copies of policy or card are acceptable.

By submitting this application, I/we, agree for our benefit to participate in Anoka Halloween Inc Grande Day Parade. As representative it is my responsibility to brief our associates on the parade with a basic understanding of the activities involved in participating and further choose to participate willingly. I/we understand that inherent in our participation is the risk of serious personal injury and property damage. I/we understand that the City of Anoka and Anoka Halloween Inc, will not provide us with protection against such injury and damage, and I/we assume all risk of such injury and damage to myself and all others under my direction and control, and to my property and all other property under my directions and control. I/we hereby waive and release any claim we have and may have in the future against the City of Anoka and Anoka Halloween Inc and/or employees or volunteers, for any personal injury, property damage, or other damage that I/we may sustain, whether or not caused in whole or in part by the negligence of such members which occurs during, or as a result of, our participation in the Grande Day Parade. Furthermore, I represent that myself, or anyone operating a vehicle in the Grande Day Parade or in conjunction with the event, has a valid driver’s license to drive such vehicle and has appropriate vehicle insurance.
