Sunday, October 24 Anoka Halloween - Medallion Hunts Free to participants with 2010 Anoka Halloween button - (donations to ACBC Food Shelf welcome) - Prize: $400 to winner of each Medallion Hunt Family & Children's Hunt 12:00-2:00pm Children 12 and under are welcome to hunt on their - own or in groups. No group is too big or too small, - however, limit of 2 adults per group. Open Medallion Hunt 2:30-4:30pm Members of the public of all ages are welcome. - Only the winners of the earlier family & children's - hunt are ineligible for this hunt.

Wednesday, October 27 19th Annual House - Decoration Contest Open to Anoka, Ramsey and Andover residents. Judging and public viewing staring at 6:30 pm. Registration forms will be in the Anoka County Union and Shopper beginning October 1, 2010 or visit AnokaHalloween.com. Prizes: First Place $150.00, Second Place $100.00, Third Place $75.00. Limited to the first 18 entries.
Thursday, October 28 Halloween Wine Tasting & Rib Contest Sponsored by Better Values Liquor Stores of Anoka Cost: $12 in advance, $15 at the door. Tent located on Jackson Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenue South in downtown Anoka.
Friday, October 29 Preschool Costume Contest We will have treats and entertainment for the children. Program lasts about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Contact - Dianne Anderla at (763) 421-0387 with any questions.
Friday, October 29 Big Parade of Little People Surrounding elementary school children march in costume to show their school spirit.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 30 Gray Ghost 5K Run and - One Mile Fitness Walk Sponsored by Anoka Business & Landowners - Wells Fargo and North Suburban Striders Registration Fee: $20 in advance (must be received by ABLA by noon on October 28) or $25 race day. 5K Course is USATF Certified with age group awards 3 deep in 9 age groups. Long-sleeved shirts and refreshments are available for finishers of either event. Be sure to come early as many people will be arriving in Anoka for the Grand Day Parade. Costumes encouraged; awards will be given to the five best individual and group costumes. Animals are not allowed on race course.
